Single family home sales fell around the greater Daytona Beach area in June.

For the month ending on June 30, 2018, the Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service (MLS) reported that 476 existing single-family homes (detached) were sold in the greater Daytona Beach area with a median home sales price of $220,000. It amounts to a 5.3 percent decrease in sales compared to the same month last year. It’s a 7.2 percent decrease in single family home sales totals from May. Median sales prices, meanwhile, were up slightly by just over 2 percent in annual comparisons. However, median prices were down by about 3 percent compared to home sales in May. The Daytona area condo market saw sales levels recover in June, after a tough tumble in condo sales occurred the month prior.    

An analysis of Daytona Beach Multiple Listing Service (MLS) data by Wyse Home Team Realty showed there were 151 condo units sold around the Daytona Beach area in June. During the same month last year, MLS data shows 134 condo units were sold. The June sales totals were a dramatic improvement over May, when sales plummeted to just 128 condo units sold in the greater Daytona Beach area. Year to date, sales are down nearly 3 percent over last year.
