November is a time of giving and a time to be thankful.  It’s also a beautiful time of year in Daytona Beach and its surrounding areas.  Thankfully, there are many local events that bring family and friends together to enjoy the festivities. Here's a quick look at some of the fun that's on tap in Volusia County during November. 

Volusia County Fair

November 1 – 11

The 2018 Volusia County Fair is being held at the fairgrounds in DeLand from November 1st through November 11th and it's one of the locals' favorite events around Daytona in November. There will be musical entertainment, live action sports, carnival games and rides, livestock shows, talent shows, exhibits featuring art, photography, music, agriculture, horticulture, crafts, and so much more.  For more information visit

The Art of Giving Gala

Join Payit4ward Non-Profit at the Museum of Arts and Sciences on November 3rd, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.  This is a formal evening that will include learning about the organization and upcoming goals for 2019, dinner, a cash bar, drawings, and live entertainment.  All proceeds from the event will help fund the youth empowerment programs throughout Volusia County, making it one of the area's generous events around Daytona in November.  Tickets are required.  Single admission cost is $50 and $75 for couples.  For tickets visit For more information call (386) 588-9285 or email

Halifax Art Festival

November 3 & 4

Another fun festival topping the list of events around Daytona in November is the Halifax Art Festival will take place in Downtown Daytona Beach beginning at 9:00 a.m. on November 3rd and 10:00 a.m. on November 4th.  The Halifax Art Festival is celebrating its 56th Anniversary.  The festival draws approximately 45,000 visitors to view the fine works of art from artisans from all over the country.   In addition to the art, there will be live entertainment, a student art competition, children’s activities, and fine dining in many local restaurants and cafes.  For more information visit

8th Annual Food, Wine and Brew Festival

The News-Journal’s Food, Wine and Brew Festival is sure to be among the more popular options for events around Daytona in November. The fun takes place from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.  The festival will highlight local restaurants, wine and over 100+ beer selections.  There will also be live entertainment and raffles.  Tickets are required for this event and portions of the proceeds will benefit the United Way of Volusia & Flagler counties.  For more information and to purchase tickets visit

42nd Annual St. Demetrios Greek Festival

November 8 – 11

The 42nd Annual Greek Festival will be held at Daytona Beach’s St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church located at 129 N. Halifax Avenue.  Of the many events around Daytona in November, this one is yet another incredibly popular choice for finding some fun. Join in the dancing and singing and enjoy delicious food and drink. Santa PJ Party

November 17

On November 17th, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., Santa Claus arrives at the Volusia Mall. Join the fun at Center Court and welcome Santa’s sleigh with a PJ party.  Kids can come in their PJs and enjoy treats, fun activities, and a visit with Santa Claus. Grillers Gone Wild BBQ Contest and Festival

Visit Reed Canal Park in South Daytona on Saturday, November 17th, 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., for the Grillers Gone Wild BBQ Contest and Festival.  This event is a backyard BBQ contest on the list of local events around Daytona in November that will leave your Northern friends green with envy! (I be they're not spending much time grilling out in the cold!) DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts

November 17 & 18

The 2018 DeLand Fall Festival of the Arts is another among the annual events around Daytona in November. This event is an art lover's delight and is being held Saturday and Sunday, November 17th and 18th, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Woodland Boulevard in the Downtown DeLand Historic District.  While enjoying the incredible art work of approximately 170 to 175 National Artists, you’ll be able to listen to music, enjoy delicious food, allow the kids to play in the Kids Fun Art area and enjoy live entertainment.  For more information visit

New Smyrna Beach Wine Walk

Stroll down beautiful Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach while tasting delicious wines from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24th.  A fabulous option on the list of events around Daytona in November, this progressive event allows you to explore new locations and wines at a variety of host locations.  Wine passports are $25 and are available at the corner of Flagler Avenue and Cooper Street or at the corner or S. GivingTuesday 5K Beer Walk & Food Truck Rally

On Tuesday, November 27th, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Youth Athletic Charity is hosting the GivingTuesday 5K Beer Walk & Food Truck Rally.  This event is $30 and includes participation in the 5K Beer Walk, 2 free beers, and a t-shirt.  The event takes place at Riverwalk Park in Port Orange and is a great way to give back to a lovable local cause on the list of events around Daytona in November.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Youth Athletic Charity and the youth in Volusia County.  To get your tickets and find more information visit
