New Smyrna Beach Christmas Cookie Challenge
On Saturday, December 1st, make your way to Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach for The Homemade Christmas Cookie Challenge, taking place 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This challenge features over a dozen different cookies from local restaurants, bars, and chefs. At each stop you’ll be able to pick up a cookie and the recipe card for each one. Passports for this event are $10 and include all the cookies and recipes plus a holiday cookie box to keep your treasured treats while strolling. Holiday Wine Tour
Visit the Riverfront Shops of Daytona Beach to toast the start of the holiday season. The Holiday Wine Tour is a great way to explore the shops and restaurants in Downtown Daytona Beach while enjoying some delicious wine. The tour is on Saturday, December 1st, 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Guests 21 and up can purchase a passport to enjoy sampling of a variety of wines at participating merchants. Light Up Volusia
The 8th Annual Light Up Volusia will be hosted by the Ocean Center on Saturday, December 1st, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The public is welcome to come kick off the holiday season with this fun-filled holiday event. The event will include live music, the lighting of a 50-ft holiday tree at 7:15 p.m., the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus, holiday showcases and a gingerbread house competition. There will also be several entertainers, a photo booth, face painters, a bounce house, an appearance by the Grinch and more. This event is free. Christmas in the Park
Port Orange is once again celebrating Christmas in the Park at the Kenneth W. Parker Amphitheater on Saturday, December 1st, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Christmas concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. with special musical performances followed by the official lighting of City Center. A guest appearance by Santa is at 7:00 p.m. and free horse-drawn carriage rides and hayrides, courtesy of Cracker Creek, will take you around the park. Come out to the Halifax and watch as decorated boats travel south from the Seabreeze bridge to the Halifax River Yacht Club for judging the to the Charthouse. The 41st Annual Holiday Parade is taking place in Port Orange on Sunday, December 2nd at 2:00 p.m. The parade will have bands and floats centered around this year’s theme “Christmas Movies.” The parade begins at Jackson Street and will go east on Dunlawton Avenue to Spruce Creek Road.
